Our Renewal

The renewal task force's 2023 mandate was three-fold

  • Encouraging our members and friends to participate in FirstU community life through attending, organizing, and enjoying social and spiritual events and sharing opportunities to take active roles with the teams and committees that keep FirstU thriving
  • Supporting fundraising for special projects
  • Inviting our members and friends to contribute to FirstU's annual Pledge Campaign
​A big part of the task force’s work was the Something Old Something New campaign. This campaign raised $56,000, enough to do a major upgrade of our wi-fi and web-casting ability. Thank you to all who donated!

Volunteering and participating at FirstU

Keeping a church going takes everyone's contributions. If you have time, energy, and attention to spare, we want YOU! If you've got skills you want to share, we'd love to have you join in where those skills are needed BUT we're also glad to have your enthusiasm and interest in learning! There's no need to know the ins and outs of a given task before you start: as volunteers, we learn as we go.
