Renewal updates
May 26 2023 - Bad News and Priorities
The Something Old, Something New campaign will fall significantly short of the goal of $70,000. New railings for patios ($35,000) will have to be postponed, and priority given to the electronic and wi-fi upgrades, also $35,000. At roughly $26,000, we are still about $9,000 short.

May 12, 2023 - Great Strides!
There has been great progress in planning for the electronic upgrades. We will not need to encase any wiring in steel conduit, as good quality shielded cable is available at a lower cost. There will be new wi-fi transmitters on the lower level, and ethernet cables will be extended to all rooms, including the NOW room.

Our total donations to date are just over $16,000!
On top of this, there have been some offers of assistance and donations of equipment that may help to lower our costs!

April 21, 2023 - Wi-Fi Reception Upgrades
There will be four wi-fi transmitter/receivers downstairs and two upstairs. The downstairs system will be connected by a conduit square, while conduits will be used upstairs only as needed. The NOW room, the lounge, and the five larger rooms downstairs will be provided with wiring and connections to allow transmission to and reception from the internet.

April 14, 2023 - Plans for Worship Hall and Fellowship Hall
The planned improvements for Worship Hall include two mounted cameras on the pillars at the back that could be aimed and zoomed remotely. This would let us dispense with the camera at the front, and get the tape off the floor. We are in the process of determining how to correct the recording and transmission problems from Worship Hall.
For Fellowship Hall, we would get a new, larger screen (the old one would go into the NOW room).
The Worship Hall and Fellowship Hall systems would be linked, so that anything taking place in either could be shown in both.
