Stewarding Our Congregation - FirstU's Annual Pledge Campaign
Our annual Pledge Campaign is the most important source of revenue for our “FirstU” congregation and helps us in our budgeting. The money we raise during our annual Pledge Campaign is used to fund our mission events and activities, operate our church, pay our staff, and maintain our building. This year’s campaign, held through October and November, will recognize your intended financial commitment throughout 2022 to support FirstU’s operations, resources and programs.

We are in interesting and challenging times, physically isolated for the most part due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and separated from what we’re previously been able to do. This reality has caused us each to change both our habits as well as our perspective on life`s matters, reminding us of both life’s fragility and its resilience.

The FirstU community shows its generosity in many ways: with our time, with our compassion, with our ideas, and with our spirits. We also need to follow through with financial generosity. Proper funding allows FirstU to achieve its many goals: liberal religious exploration, social justice action, refugee support, and community building. There are many ways to support your church - monthly donations, legacy giving, one-time donations, and more.

Have Questions? Call our Finance Manager Michelle Jackson at 343-987-8560 or email

This year’s campaign - held through October and November 2021 - will secure financial support for FirstU throughout 2022, for all our resources and programs. How much to give depends very much on your personal situation. Click here for guidelines on giving.

"I give so there is a place for truth and hope to grow."

"We acknowledge that our campus is located on traditional, unsurrendered and unceded Algonquin Anishinaabeg Territory;
and that the work of reconciliation is a responsibility of our congregation, and of all Canadians.  "Our goal is to educate ourselves and all
who have ears to hear, to be of service to those who are at risk, and to advocate for justice.
