  • Propose ways to increase the success, reach, and engagement of our communications both internally and with the greater community, and track results
  • Provide communications and editorial support to FirstU staff and volunteers through collaboration
  • Assist in the creation of media and topical contact lists
  • Support the planning and delivery of larger communication and promotional initiatives

  • A good understanding of digital platforms, outreach, and engagement
  • A collaborative team player who would work well with staff and volunteers alike
  • Experience with many of the following and a willingness to become familiar with the others: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,  Youtube, Zoom, Weebly, Mailchimp, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Experience monitoring and analyzing web and social media analytics (experience implementing and measuring the success of marketing campaigns, social media campaigns, or other similar types of analysis that could be transferable to learning communications analytics and/or a willingness to develop these skills)

  • A cover letter with your interest. In your cover letter, please include a note about how you found out about this job posting and a few lines about why you’re interested in working with the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa in this role.
