Thank-you for your interest - we have recruited our new superhero!
Email DRE@FirstUO.ca for information or to apply.
Why do we need a superhero?
We have recently transitioned to a whole congregational worship gathering in our community and all ages activities before the service on Sunday mornings. This means we are looking to have a compassionate, fun, and outgoing person help look after our children who are too young or wriggly to sit through a whole worship service or workshop.
Our childcare coordinator Rita, is a fantastic lead who has many ideas for things to keep kids busy and engaged, she is looking forward to having a consistent (superhero) partner to work and collaborate with every week!

Who are we?
We are a Unitarian Universalist congregation. Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion dedicated to the free search for personal and spiritual truth, respect for the worth and dignity of individuals, community building and social justice. We welcome people of all races, sexual orientations, cultural backgrounds, gender expressions, and ages. In our Religious Exploration Program, we create an environment of safety and connection and encourage children and youth to learn more about themselves and to be seekers with a sense of wonder.
We are driven by our commitment to our 7 principles and inspired by our 6 sources - these can be found here.

What does Sunday look like?
Our extended Sundays look like this:
9am -10am Faith Formation (Classes and workshops for different ages each week, children, adults and multigen)
10am -10:30am Snack time and Choir Warm Up
10:30am -11:30am Whole Congregational Worship
11:30am - 12noon Fellowship
Our childcare is offered from 9am - 12noon which will cover a range of ages and participants, from possibly only infants during worship, to children up to 9 if there is an older class going on that morning.
We want the whole family to feel welcome and cared for when they are with us no matter which program they are attending, and to allow our parents to enjoy our programming knowing their children are safe, engaged, and cared for.
