Parent ParticipationOur time for Religious Exploration (RE) on Sunday mornings lasts only for an hour. As a parent, your actions and participation can help to enrich your child's experiences. Support Your Child’s LearningRegister your child so that (1) RE administrators have up-to-date information for each child and (2) you receive timely notices of RE news and events. Cultivate your child’s sense of belonging. Arrive at services on time and come regularly. Dress your child in play clothes for active participation. Show an interest in your child’s RE activities. Talk about what your child is doing and attend activities with your child from time to time. Talk with your child about things that matter. Share your beliefs and values and be a good listener, acknowledging your child’s point of view as valid. Make UU part of your everyday life by creating rituals at home and bringing your children to congregational events. Become An RE VolunteerParent involvement is integral to our RE ministry, crucial not only to the quality of our program but to its very existence. Whatever your schedule or talents, we have a place for you. You can serve on our leadership team, our RE Committee or as a member of our flock of RE Angels who do everything from refreshments to library maintenance to leader support. We also welcome the energy and enthusiasm of occasional specialists who bring their unique talents to our children’s activities and the valuable support of special event planners/helpers.

About the Discussion Board.Update Nov. 22:The website team has determined that the Ramius, the software developer of the Board, will be using our site as a venue for advertising. As a result, we are in the process of finding another software and, hopefully, one with an easier userface. Members of the current Board will continue to receive automatic updates as new information is posted. For more information, contact Claire Harrison or Scott Drennan. |
