Welcome to Guy Belleperche, the new 2009-2010 Chair of the OWL Committee at First Unitarian!

OWL facilitator training session: First Unitarian, in cooperation with the CUC, will be hosting this session on the weekend of October 23-25, 2009. If you are interested, please complete the Registration Form. For more information, contact Guy Belleperche at owl@firstunitarianottawa.ca.

OWL is a positive, comprehensive, and age-appropriate educational program that promotes sexual health.  It has four primary goals:

  1. to provide accurate, developmentally appropriate information.
  2. to increase self-esteem and understand relationships with and responsibilities toward others.
  3. to develop interpersonal skills including communication, decision making, and problem solving.
  4. to teach responsibility for personal health and safety.

We have an active OWL Facilitation Committee overseeing the use of OWL curriculum across all age groups, including Grade 1 students, Grade 5 students, junior and senior high school youth, and adults.
