CELEBRATING OUR 10TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON, 2009-2010!

The First Unitarian Congregation’s highly successful chamber music series celebrates its 10th anniversary during the the 2009-2010 season. Organized by Music Director Jane Perry, the season offers listeners a wide variety of music styles and musicians.

Ballad of the North. A violinist and pianist weave a tapestry of music from the northern hemisphere.

Music for Piano Duet. A prize-winning duo takes the art of the piano duet to incredible heights.

Geoff Lapp Jazz Trio. Come and listen to one of Montreal's premiere jazz ensembles.

North Winds Brass. This Ottawa-based brass quintet will charm you with its excellence, its humour, and a repertoire that ranges from Bach to Basie.

Music for Piano Trio. Two string players from the National Arts Centre Orchestra team up with a talented pianist for an afternoon of sublime chamber music which includes Brahms’ Piano Trio in B major.

The Swan’s Song. Janet Roy, a retired member of the National Arts Centre Orchestra,.continues to make music at the highest levels, whether playing Beethoven sonatas or singing a scat version of a Bach violin sonata. Not to be missed!

Arias for Tenor and Continuo. Montreal tenor, Denis Boudreault, joins with Ottawa colleagues for a sumptuous evening of Baroque arias.

Bringing it Home. This Canadian-born duo is pursuing post-graduate studies at the prestigious Indiana University at Bloomington. Welcome them home as they perform a virtuoistic repertoire.

Note: If you are a musician who would like to be considered for a spot in our concert series, please contact Music Director Jane Perry at music@firstunitarianottawa.ca Concert proposals are accepted each year between January 1st and February 28th, for possible inclusion in the following season of concerts. The Cleary Avenue concert season runs from mid-September to mid-May.
