FundraisingThe First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa is funded by its members and it costs about $1,000 per member to keep running our programs and maintain our building. We have several different kinds of campaigns and events to raise funds for the congregation.
Pledge Campaign: We hold an annual pledge campaign in the early winter that educates members about our budget and what is needed to fund us for the year. Learn more about our annual pledge campaign. Building Renewal Campaign: This is a one-time, five-year campaign, ending in 2011, to raise the funds needed to upgrade our building which is now 40 years old. Learn more about the building renewal campaign. Service Auction (Time and Talent): During this spring event, members of our congregation offer their time, talent, or interests in an annual auction to raise money. The 2010 auction catalogue is posted here. Photo: Wikipedia |
