In the face of a global surge in xenophobic violence, cities across Canada and around the world are declaring themselves sanctuaries, promising to protect the rights of migrants and guarantee access to city services for all, access without fear. The meeting will feature a panel discussion with community workers and researchers. The panel will be followed by a question and answer session focusing on strategies for making Ottawa a sanctuary city.
